NASA Astronaut Barry Wilmore Speaks to Ci 4.0 Campers

What better way to learn about space during Ci 4.0 than by talking to someone who’s actually been there? NASA Astronaut Barry Wilmore Speaks to Ci 4.0 Campers

What better way to learn about space during Ci 4.0 than by talking to someone who’s actually been there? We were blessed this summer during one week of camp to hear from Barry “Butch” Wilmore, a NASA astronaut, space shuttle pilot, and a commander of the International Space Station. Barry has spent 178 days in outer space and was the first Space Station commander to do a spacewalk.

But the most remarkable thing about Barry is not his time in space or his spectacular career—it’s his faith in Christ. He’s a committed Christian who loves God and His Word, and it shows. And, what’s more, he’s a biblical creationist!

We were thrilled our campers got the once in a lifetime opportunity to hear from such a unique individual and experience firsthand his love for God’s Word and belief in what the Scriptures teach. We need more people like Barry serving the Lord in various STEM fields—including in NASA!

Barry also recently visited the Creation Museum and spoke to the Answers in Genesis’ staff and also did a Facebook Live video with AiG president Ken Ham. You can watch those videos, and share them with your kids, on Ken’s blog.
