Ci Father Reveals His Heart

This time of year, several things all come together to make Camp Infinity a very special experience for our campers. The philosophy, program and people intersect along with the "stuff" needed to make it all happen - T-shirts, cinch bags, STEM activity supplies, robots, ipads, computers, water bottles and much much more. For a camp director this can be a very busy and stressful time. What a blessing when I received the following email list this one from one of our parents, thank us for starting Ci. Seems the Lord knows just when this type of encouragement is needed. This came from one our our camper dads whose kids have come to our camp for a couple of years.

I really appreciate the opportunity for my boys to attend Camp Infinity. I view it as a life changing, generational experience for them.  I want to share a part of my testimony with you.

My father was responsible for raising eight kids.  Out of eight, I'm the only one to complete high school.  I barely did that.  I had 1.7 GPA.  My teen years were all filled with alcohol, depression, and misery until I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior at age 20.  I met my awesome wife at the local  church I was attending while working together doing a Christmas food drive.  We've been happily married since 1996.

After several years of working out of town and months of constant unemployment  my wife persuaded me to take some college classes. The rest is history.  With God's help I completed a Masters in Education with a 3.9 GPA.  I've been employed as a public school teacher for the past 14 years.

I really believe the generational curse was broken when I accepted Jesus as my Savior.   After several years of ancestry research my findings reveal that my family has lived in the Appalachian Mountains since the beginning of the country.  I come from a long line of farmers (Moonshiners) with very little education.  Today, I have half brothers and many cousins who lives have been totally destroyed by poverty and drug abuse.

By the grace of God, our sons love the Lord!  They are doing really well in school.  I'm totally amazed they are getting the opportunity to attend Camp Infinity and spend the week at the Creation Museum. I guess I'm getting carried away typing.  It's Father's day and I'm really proud of my boys.  I really appreciate you and the CI staff.

We praise God for using Ci to equip families with solid Bible answers to help them defend and proclaim their faith in Jesus Christ and the absolute authority of God's Word!!
