It’s so neat each year to see how God takes a group of college students, with very different backgrounds, and knits them close together as they serve Him by serving our campers. Here’s a look at how God is using them today.
Becca (Ci 1.0 & 2.0) - I’m teaching high school math in MD and having a blast!
Sean (Ci 3.0) - I am currently working as a laboratory technician at a doctor’s office where I primarily draw blood and perform tests on biological samples, and I am planning on continuing my education to become a medical laboratory scientist. I am renting my own house in the area while waiting to marry my most wonderful fiancee, Alicia. Bachelor’s degree in biology on 5/5/17.
David (Ci 2.0) - I am currently living in Utah and am the worship leader and one of the youth leaders for my church. I also have been working full time as a senior technical support engineer for Ivanti Software for the past 2 and a half years since I moved out to Utah. Through my job I have been able to be involved in promoting STEM, and through my ministry I have used the apologetics and counseling experience that I learned at Camp Infinity. My church is New Hope Bible Church, a 3 year old church plant in a 98% LDS area.
Tiffany (Ci 4.0) - I became a high school science teacher at Schaumburg Christian School in Illinois. I teach honors chemistry, biology, and honors physical science. I am also getting married August 4th! I got engaged during the solar eclipse ;) Currently I am applying to Virginia Tech for a PhD in Molecular Biology.
James (Ci 2.0) - I’m 4 weeks away from getting my Master’s in Electrical Engineering. I have 2-3 years left to complete my PhD at NC State University. My research is in the area of biotechnology, so I’m developing electronics that allow for better interaction with humans, animals, and plants.
Kevan (Ci 3.0 & 4.0) - I am currently a Reverse Engineering Inspector at United Tool & Mold Inc. I live in Taylors, SC. I will be getting engaged within the next 3 months. Also, I am about to begin paying off student loan debt.
Amanda (Ci 4.0) - I am teaching 4th-6th grade math and Spanish at Faith Baptist School in Fredericksburg, VA. I plan on getting a masters in 3-5 years, but I am not sure in what yet. I am waiting on the Lord’s guidance.
Brooke (Ci 4.0) - I am finishing student teaching with Cedarville University, and I will be graduating in December. I’ve accepted an offer for an internship at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. I will be working at Disney’s Animal Kingdom as a Conservation Education Presenter. I will be teaching guests about biology, conservation, and other sciences. I am very excited to be using my degree in Middle Science Education and to be shining a light for our Lord while in Florida!
Abbie (Ci 1.0) - Practicing my passion of nursing as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac ICU at Greenville Memorial!
Claire (Ci 3.0) - I’m finishing up my senior year at Bob Jones University in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and currently I’m applying to PhD programs in microbiology.
Ben (Ci 1.0 & 2.0) I am in my second year in my graduate mathematics program at Clemson. God has been blessing greatly: passed my first PhD qualification exam with a Strong Pass, had my first paper accepted for publication, and, best of all, I am now engaged!
Each of our counselors has a passion for encouraging young people in STEM and pointing them toward God’s Word and the gospel—and that’s a very dynamic combination!
