Interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) is booming. Kids love asking questions about the world around them and then being helped to discover the answers for themselves. This kind of hands-on learning sticks with kids and creates life-long learners who maintain their interest in STEM. When kids aren’t exposed to STEM on a continued basis, many lose interest or get discouraged and pursue a different path. But we need a generation of researchers and scientists who love God and his Word and who will work to solve some of the big problems of our day!
That’s why many parents are looking to STEM camps as a way of fostering this natural interest in STEM once the school year has ended. If you’re looking for a STEM camp to send your child to as an introduction to a STEM camp, consider one of our day camps for teens or junior students. These three days are less intense than our five-day overnight camps but are still packed full of hands-on activities and teaching.
Day camps are an especially great option if you live in the Northern Kentucky area (where are camps are based) and so an overnight camp perhaps isn’t needed, have multiple children interested in attending camp so overnight camp could be cost-prohibitive, or are just looking for something more budget-friendly for your family.
Now Camp Infinity is a unique STEM camp—you won’t find another camp like it anywhere. We’re biblically-based. This means kids experience STEM through the lens of God’s Word. They learn a theology of technology and explore the big problems of our day from a biblical perspective, first asking what God has to say about it. You can send your child to Ci knowing they will be encouraged to trust God’s Word from the beginning and to grow in their relationship with Christ.
During their three days of camp, your child will learn problem-solving skills as they work with hands-on STEM activities, teamwork as they join forces to solve a problem, and a biblical worldview as they sit under the teaching of scientists and researchers from Answers in Genesis. They’ll also love the fellowship with kids their own age who have similar interests. Camp dates are approaching quickly (June 21–23, 2018 for both teens and juniors) so be sure to apply soon (and be sure to check out our scholarship opportunities!).
