Thankful for Technology?

Tell Us and Reduce Your Tuition

Technology is rapidly changing the world we live in. Technological innovations have done more than just make our lives easier—they’ve helped us discover more about God’s creation, helped us subdue the Earth (Genesis 1:28), and even saved lives. There’s so much to be thankful for when it comes to the tech all around us! What about technology makes you thankful? Tell us and you could reduce your Ci 5.0 tuition by up to $250!

Our Thanksgiving Scholarship Program—which closes Thanksgiving Day—allows campers to submit an essay on how living in the 21st century gives us an amazing opportunity to benefit from the technologies man has developed. Prospective campers who submit an essay can save up to $150 off the already discounted early bird price of $100–that’s up to $250 off the price of camp!

Get Creative!

Examples of essay topics include:

  • “How does technology glorify God?”
  • “Can technology be found in the Bible?”
  • “How can smartphones contribute to a person’s Christian faith?”
  • “How has technology helped us fulfill the dominion mandate?”

Get creative! Maybe ask a grandparent or an elderly person at church or in your neighborhood what their favorite technology is or how technology has changed since they were your age. Or perhaps write about common technologies that we depend on every day but rarely notice or appreciate. Or describe your favorite technology or what tech has impacted you the most. Write about whatever inspires you about technology and thankfulness.

Get Writing (and Recording!)

Scholarships are awarded based on the length and quality of your essay. Scholarships begin at $.10 per word to a maximum of $100 (or 1,000 words) with the quality of the essay also being taken into consideration. You can also choose to do ONE of the following for an additional $50 in scholarships:

  1. Record a video of yourself presenting your essay
  2. OR record a podcast

If you would like some inspiration or would like to learn more about a biblical view of technology, I encourage you to read From the Garden to the City by John Dyer, available on Amazon.
